VinUni and NYU Tandon plan first student exchange

Date: May 18, 2026 (announcement date; signing day unspecified) Source: VinUniversity, university announcement Last verified: October 21, 2026

On May 18, VinUniversity announced an MOU with NYU Tandon School of Engineering covering semester exchange and research opportunities. Plans included six VinUni exchange students at NYU that fall and NYU Tandon research interns at VinUni in summer 2026.

Why it matters: You have a concrete planning model here: name the activity, direction of travel and intended term. That gives your international office and academic hosts a shared basis for agreeing credits, supervision, accommodation and student support. Announced places still need confirmation of who traveled and what they completed.

If you're considering something similar:

  • Name the academic host and agree credit and supervision arrangements
  • Set out accommodation, funding and support responsibilities before promotion
  • Request participation and academic outcomes when reviewing the first exchange
