HUTECH and George Mason sign an MOU, with a 3+1 pathway in discussion

In a March 9 announcement, HUTECH reported signing an MOU with George Mason University covering discussions of a possible 3+1 pathway, student exchanges, research cooperation and postgraduate co-supervision. The universities said detailed discussions would continue.

Why it matters: You need a credit map that turns the pathway idea into a degree plan students can complete. Have your academic departments and registrar test actual student records, with advising and progression responsibilities agreed on both sides. An MOU is a starting point, not an approved or recruiting pathway.

If you're considering something similar:

  • Build a course-by-course map of transferred credits and remaining requirements
  • Agree how English readiness will be assessed before students move
  • Show students the full cost at each stage before setting enrollment targets
