Fulbright–Columbia agreement shows how a Vietnam partnership can deepen

Date: November 7, 2025 (event) Source: Tuoi Tre News, November 8, 2025 Last verified: October 21, 2026

Fulbright University Vietnam signed an MOU with Columbia University’s Weatherhead East Asian Institute in Ho Chi Minh City on November 7, 2025, building on their 2022 education agreement. It covers research, faculty exchanges, joint conferences and interdisciplinary programs in technology, humanities and social sciences, with summer language and internship opportunities also reported.

Why it matters: You can use an existing faculty relationship to build a deeper partnership around a shared academic question. Start with an output your departments can deliver, then agree who will contribute time and resources before expanding the scope. The agreement sets a framework; delivery needs its own evidence.

If you're considering something similar:

  • Choose one faculty question and a first output
  • Name the academic owner and resources on each side
  • Set a review date for participation and results
